Behçet's disease

Behcet's disease diagnosed
Behcet's disease is a difficult disease to diagnose, as it has symptoms similar to those of many other diseases. Blood tests
In fact, blood tests do not confirm Behcet's disease, and they aim to do the following: [8]
- Rule out other diseases.
- Measure the severity of inflammation; This is done by measuring the sedimentation rate of red blood cells and C - reactive protein .
- Monitoring the effects of medicines and checking for side effects; This is done by performing a complete blood count, kidney function tests, and liver function tests.
- Screening for specific genetic markers believed to be associated with Behçet's disease, specifically the genetic marker test (HLA-B51); It is believed that people with this genetic marker are more likely to develop Behcet's disease, and although its presence does not necessarily mean the infection of Behcet's disease, it is considered one of the evidence supporting the infection of this disease, and yet experts do not recommend testing the genetic mark of children as a predictive measure of Behcet's disease. Other tests
