Thyme and sesame
Thyme is considered one of the aromatic plants, and the height of this plant generally ranges from 10 centimeters to 20 centimeters, and it is worth noting that there are about 100 types of thyme, and the strong smell of thyme is produced mostly from the leaves, which is the most used part of the thyme plant. Use them fresh or dried. [1]
As for sesame seeds (scientific name: Sesamum indicum), they are small seeds rich in oil, which grow in the form of pods, and these seeds can be obtained with or without the skin. It should be noted that the outer shell of sesame seeds is edible, and they give the seeds a golden brown color. If the seeds are peeled, they are off-white, but they turn brown when roasted. [2]

General benefits of sesame
- Sesame seeds generally contain a high percentage of oils, ranging between 40-60%, as sesame seeds contain a high percentage of fatty acids, including: Oleic acid, which forms 40% of sesame seeds, and linoleic acid which makes up 45% of these seeds, and these fatty acids are beneficial to health, and sesame seeds are also rich in protein, as protein makes up 25% of these seeds. - Sesame seeds are a good source of vitamin B1 , vitamin B3, and vitamin B6, and these vitamins are necessary for proper cellular function and metabolism.
- Sesame seeds are high in magnesium, which helps lower blood pressure .
