Historical information

There are many sports that used the curved stick with it, and the ball since ancient times in many cultures, in Egypt there were carvings engraved four thousand years ago for teams carrying sticks and thrower, in addition to the Hurling teams dating back to before the one thousand two hundred seventy-two years BC in Ireland, and there are also drawings dating back to six hundred years BC in Greece, and in ancient times people used to play pico for a thousand years, a game similar to the current field hockey.

One of the great evidences for the existence of hockey-like games in the Middle Ages is their presence in the legislation related to games and sports, as there is a Galloway law that prohibits certain types of ball games, including hockey, and this law was applied in 1527 AD, and when the nineteenth century came the historical games began In its forms, and its divisions in separation and merger, until it reached what it is now, and the establishment of committees empowered to set laws and regulations began, and local and international entities appeared to organize competitions.
