How to dye hair

Commercial dyes

Hair can be dyed using commercial or chemical dyes that are used in beauty salons, but taking care to choose the right hair color, and determine whether the person wants to change his hair color to lighter or darker, and work to choose a color lighter than the color to be dyed, because the dye appears in a color Darker the longer it is left on the hair, and buy two packages of dye in case the hair is long or coarse, to ensure that the hair is completely covered, and mix the dye in a glass or plastic container, and avoid metal vessels, because it oxidizes with the dye and changes color, then the hair is divided into Four sections to ensure even dyeing. Dye hair naturally

henna

Henna is a natural vegetable dye, usually used to paint on the skin, and it can be used to dye hair red, and its color can last from four to six weeks, and it is used by: [2]

  • Mix about half a cup of henna powder , with a quarter cup of water, and stir it well until it becomes a consistent mixture, and it is possible to add some water if necessary.
  • Cover the mixture with plastic wrap.
  • Leave the mixture for 12 hours.
  • Wash hair without using conditioner.
  • Apply one of the oils, such as: coconut oil, around the ends of the hair to avoid dyeing the skin with henna.
  • Apply the mixture on small sections of hair, and apply until the mixture covers all parts of the hair.
  • Covering the hair with plastic wrap for a period of not less than two hours and up to six hours, and then washing it.


Coffee

Coffee contains tannins, which give caffeine its dark black color. Regularly washing hair with coffee works to dye strands of hair, and coffee is used by: [3]

  • Put two cups of water in a medium pot, and boil the water over a high heat.
  • Put two tablespoons of coffee powder, and let it boil for about five minutes on medium heat.
  • Take the coffee off the stove, and leave it for another ten minutes.
  • Put a towel around the shoulders to prevent staining the clothes, then pour the coffee into a large bowl, and soak the hair in it.
  • Wash hair with coffee water to cover the hair completely.
  • Cover the hair with a shower cap or with a plastic wrap, and leave the coffee on the hair for an hour and a half.
  • Wash hair with a natural conditioner and cold water, taking care to avoid using shampoo.
  • Repeat the process three times a week, to dye hair naturally within 2-3 weeks.
