Causes of its appearance dandruff

Most skin care professionals attribute the cause of dandruff to the presence of a small fungus that lives on human skin all the time called Malassez, without causing any harm, among the reasons that lead to its appearance:

  • Internal causes: As a result of an imbalance in the rate of hormones, or the individual suffers from an allergy to one of the types of food such as shellfish, excessive consumption of foods with a high fat content, or excessive intake of sugars.
  • External causes: As a result of excessive use of hair care products, such as: dyes, hair fixing cream and Gel , or hair exposure to weather fluctuations, such as: cold weather, and irregular hair washing also affects the increase in the incidence of dandruff.


Symptoms of dandruff

  • Dryness of the scalp, and the scalp can sometimes be oily.
  • Itching.
  • Small white skin bits or flakes.


Methods for preventing dandruff

  • Avoid exposing the scalp to high or cold temperatures.
  • Moderation in the number of times you wash your hair.
  • Avoid excessive hair care chemicals.
  • Not to cover the hair for a long and continuous period of time.
  • Eat foods that contain unsaturated fatty acids such as omega-3, as this helps to get rid of them, if the imbalance of fatty acids in the body is the reason behind the occurrence of dandruff.


Dandruff treatment

  • Medical treatment: It is by consulting the doctor, and he in turn prescribes the names of medicinal preparations and medicines to treat them.
  • Home treatment: This is done using some natural recipes prepared at home, examples of which are:
    • Olive oil and almond oil: By mixing an equal amount of the two oils, and massaging the hair with them for five minutes, and this recipe is repeated four times a week.
    • Rosemary: Put four drops of rosemary oil on the hands, then massage the scalp with the fingertips, and leave it for several hours before washing it.
    • Nut milk: by mixing coconut milk after extracting it from the fruit, then mixing it with an appropriate amount of lemon juice, adding the mixture to an appropriate amount of hot water, and applying it to the hair, then washing it with lukewarm water after half an hour of using the mixture.
