  • Aging, the feeling of pain increases when walking or standing, and it decreases with sitting, and it usually occurs as a result of the roughness of the vertebrae, which leads to the emergence of bony growths that press on the nerves, and cause sciatica pain.
  • Genetic factors lead to weakening of the cartilage of the lumbar spine, which leads to a rapid occurrence of a herniated disc.
  • Excessive sitting, and bending over for long periods.

  • Deep breathing: because it helps to get more oxygen, which reduces the severity of the disease.
  • Exercising: walking, because it reduces the feeling of pain.
  • Hot compresses and ice: place them on the affected area alternately for a period of one third of an hour, which reduces pain and swelling, and it is recommended to repeat them every two hours.
