Overall life expectancy in the world has improved

After the age of forty, work should be done to prevent cancer, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, urinary incontinence and many other diseases.

breast cancer

Many and 37% (almost a third of women's cancers).

Prevention of it is through exercise, healthy nutrition, less smoking, and frequent self-examination of the breast because early detection significantly increases the rate of recovery.

We recommend self-examination of the breasts with the first shower of each month. We also recommend that you perform a regular mammogram after forty years at a rate of once a year to once every three years.

We also recommend testing for certain genes when there are relatives who have had breast or ovarian cancer. The presence of these genes in a woman makes her more likely to develop breast or ovarian cancer.

Cervical cancer

To prevent it, we recommend a Pap smear every year, and as soon as we have obtained three regular swabs in a row, the swab should be performed every three years.

Osteoporosis

Prevention is the most important and should begin with the girl’s puberty by providing her with an adequate amount of lime and vitamin D. A large number of women in Jordan and the Arab world suffer from vitamin D deficiency.

Exposure to the sun provides the body with vitamin D, and that sun before 9 in the morning and after 4 in the afternoon.

For prevention, it is possible to consume lime-rich foods such as milk, eggs, yogurt and yogurt, and non-violent exercise should be practiced, but frequently (daily or day after day).

Osteoporosis is a painless disease that has no symptoms until it exacerbates and fractures occur.

We recommend taking 1,000 to 1,200 mg of calcium per day and 600 to 800 international units of vitamin D per day.

There are many medications to prevent osteoporosis or treat fragility, some of which help build bone and some that reduce erosion. We recommend it after a correct evaluation from your doctor.

There are some medications that may cause osteoporosis, such as corticosteroids. It is recommended to avoid it when estimated, or to adjust its dose, or to replace it with other medicines.

Heart and arteries

Prevention is in healthy activity and clean healthy eating, especially vegetables, by reducing fats and fast food, and by relieving psychological pressures.

The most important factors that are affected after the age of forty

1- Sleep disturbance (insomnia). This may result from psychological, health, or hormonal factors, and treatment will be depending on the situation.

2- Strike of the menstrual cycle, as it prolongs, shortens, breaks, or varies in quantity, by increase or decrease.

3- Wrinkles in the skin due to the decrease in collagen.

4- Skin becomes oily.

5- Multiple sagging in different areas of the body, especially the arms and abdomen.

We recommend reducing calories and focusing on the quality and not the quantity of food and the increase of vegetables and citrus fruits. We also recommend increasing the amount of fluids and reducing the caffeinated drinks such as coffee, nescafe and their derivatives, soft and alcoholic drinks and tea.

It is important to practice sports activities such as continuous brisk walking and swimming, and you must avoid white sugar (as much as possible), sweets, white bread, soft drinks, vinegar, mushrooms, fats and fried foods. We recommend consuming olive oil, sesame oil, soy, a few nuts and fish.

The estrogen hormone is the female hormone, as it exerts a positive role on the whole female body and reduces the risk of certain diseases (such as the heart, bones, joints and brain). Its deficiency after the age of forty (in general) is due to the entry of the stage (about the age of maturity), whose period varies between several months to several years, and by its end it enters the stage of (maturity).

What distinguishes the age of maturity is the continuous and continuous interruption of one year of the menstrual cycle.

When a woman enters into the stage of maturity, the menstrual cycle is interrupted, problems occur in the urinary system, sexual feelings decrease, the vagina dries up, mood changes (depression, nervousness or anxiety) and sleep is disturbed and hot flashes occur in the woman, especially during the night, which causes a disturbance in the sleep pattern.

It is imperative to consult a doctor to overcome these symptoms and to prevent some diseases (osteoporosis), as treatments exist and are varied and differ according to the patient's condition.

Pregnancy after forty is possible, but it carries risks to the health of the woman and risks to the fetus (malformations). Also, abortion after forty increases.

One of the characteristics of the late thirties and early forties is that the lady has fulfilled all the roles imposed on her (such as founding the home, raising children and marriage) and becomes able to devote herself to the things that she previously wished and could not do.

Vitamin C, at a dose of 250 mg per day, is said to be important for reducing white water disease (cataract: cataracts).

More attention must be focused on the husband at this stage so that the gap between the woman and her husband does not widen, so it is better to share the husband's hobbies. The man also needs feelings of love and affection, even if only with a passing word. The routine between the woman and her husband should be killed with beautiful words or simple, inexpensive gifts from time to time.
